| About | Jan Wouter received an Ir. degree in Electrical Engineering from TU Delft in 1990 and spent 29 years in industry at SLB, based in the Paris, Houston, and Boston areas. He contributed to the development of multiple geophysical and geological instruments, as well as the associated physical modelling and inversion software. Later in his career, Jan held senior management roles with responsibility for SLB’s worldwide technical software development, engineering organization and sub-surface related research. After retiring in 2020, Jan directed his attention towards music and computer science and subsequently became fascinated with the topic of room acoustics. This led him to pursue a PhD by Research at the University of Edinburgh, focussed on efficient numerical methods for wave-based acoustic simulation. | |
